"…I was left with goosebumps as Guy's performance exceeded my expectations, such as his approach of moving in and out freely in 'Shifting Sands'…"
Blue Note Tokyo MagazineGuy began playing the family piano at the age of nine, and he quickly fell in love with the classical and romantic music repertoire, quickly advancing to pieces far beyond his years. At eleven he won first prize at the national Al Derech Hamelech piano competition. At fifteen, seeking greater freedom of expression, he turned to jazz and improvisation at the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts in Tel Aviv, soon performing and recording alongside the elite of Israel's jazz scene. He went on to study at the 'Center for Jazz Studies' which collaborates with The New School in New York City.
A recipient of Excellence scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, he was awarded full-tuition scholarships to both Berklee College of Music and The New School, ultimately pursuing his studies in New York. He graduated with Academic Honors in 2019.
In New York he quickly became one of the most sought-after pianists on the scene, recording and performing with GRAMMY-winning trumpeter Mike Rodriguez, bassist Omer Avital, GRAMMY-nominated saxophonist Remy Le Boeuf, and acclaimed saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins. He has appeared at leading clubs including The Jazz Gallery, Cornelia Street Café and ShapeShifter Lab, and in 2020 received a grant from the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation.

In 2022 he joined the band of celebrated bassist Avishai Cohen — winner of the 2023 Miles Davis Award and longtime bassist for the late Chick Corea — and through 2024 toured the world's most prominent stages. Together they performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, the National Auditorium of Madrid, Blue Note Tokyo, the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Ronnie Scott's in London, among many others. In 2024 the two recorded Brightlight (released by Naïve Records), on which Guy features as both pianist and arranger.
As a soloist he has appeared with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and shared a double-bill with GRAMMY-winning pianist Brad Mehldau at the Toronto Jazz Festival. In 2024 he was invited by GRAMMY-nominated pianist Makoto Ozone to record DANSE MACABRE, an album Ozone produced for trumpeter Shutaro Matsui featuring drummer Jonathan Blake.
Guy is currently producing and recording his debut album, Aesthetics, which explores a musical language shaped by classical influence and contemporary New York jazz.
