Guy Moskovich is a pianist and composer active in the contemporary jazz scene internationally. He has performed, recorded and toured with world-renowned musicians including bassist Avishai Cohen, Makoto Ozone, Omer Avital, Mike Rodriguez, Jonathan Blake and many others, appearing at major venues and festivals around the world.

"…I was left with goosebumps as Guy's performance exceeded my expectations, such as his approach of moving in and out freely in 'Shifting Sands'…"

Blue Note Tokyo Magazine

Guy began playing the family piano at the age of nine, and he fell in love with the classical piano repertoire and became fascinated by the music of Chopin, Bach and others, quickly advancing to pieces far beyond his years. At eleven he won first prize at the national Al Derech Hamelech piano competition. At fifteen, realizing these composers were great improvisers and had an individual form of expression, he turned to jazz at the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts in Tel Aviv, soon performing and recording alongside the elite of Israel's jazz scene. He went on to study at the 'Center for Jazz Studies' in the Tel Aviv Conservatory and was a recipient of excellence scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation during those years.

In 2017 he was awarded full-tuition scholarships to both Berklee College of Music and The New School, ultimately pursuing his studies in New York and graduating with Academic Honors in 2019. There he quickly became one of the most sought-after pianists on the scene, recording and performing with Grammy-winning trumpeter Mike Rodriguez, bassist Omer Avital, saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, and appearing at leading clubs including The Jazz Gallery, Cornelia Street Café and ShapeShifter Lab, and in 2020 received a grant from the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation.

In 2022 he joined the band of celebrated bassist Avishai Cohen — winner of the 2023 Miles Davis Award and longtime bassist for the late Chick Corea — and through 2024 toured the world's most prominent stages. Together they performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, the National Auditorium of Madrid, Blue Note Tokyo, Blue Note New York, the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Ronnie Scott's in London, among many others. In 2024 the two, alongside drummer Roni Kaspi, recorded Brightlight (released by Naïve Records), which also featured Guy's arrangement of Franz Liszt's Liebestraum.

He has appeared with leading classical orchestras including Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the New Japan Philharmonic, and the Israeli Philharmonic, and in 2023 shared a double-bill with one of his biggest heroes, pianist Brad Mehldau at the Toronto and Ottawa Jazz Festivals. In 2024 he was invited by legendary pianist Makoto Ozone to record DANSE MACABRE, an album Ozone produced for trumpeter Shutaro Matsui featuring drummer Jonathan Blake, bassist Ben Wolfe, and saxophonist Walter Blanding.

Guy is currently producing and recording his debut album, Aesthetics, where the structural thinking of classical composition meets the harmonic and rhythmic language of contemporary jazz — original music built on motivic development and long-form architecture, written to stay melodic and direct even at its most complex.
